Audi S3 8l fuel rail pipes

Hi all, can anyone help me find or supply a link for a couple of pipes that go to the fuel rail as pictured. Thanks in advance.

I bought a metre of this Mocal fuel line and made my own up.

It's a much better spec than the OE rubber pipes. Just remove the plastic ends from the OE part and the plastic sleeve that joins them. Then cut to length and put the sleeving on. You need 4 clips as well I used 13-15mm

5 clips cost £3.30 so all in around £16

All sorted, managed to use the original clips. Attached pic of the wear on the old pipework.

I've replaced these fuel lines before (twice!) with aftermarket hoses. The line closest to the charge pipe seems to crack and I assume it is heat related.

Do braided lines offer heat protection? Have you checked your lines aren't cracking under the braid?

Is a heat reflective sleave the answer?

Do you have the part number for the plastic thing holding the wire on the coolant level sensor?

I'd prefer braided lines if deemed suitable.

Otherwise would these in a suitable size work?
braid is more mechanical protection than heat... still rubber underneath and the combination of heat drying out the rubber and the hose panting from pressure variations under boost will still age the lines... a heat wrap or some of the aluminium shielding to give air gap heat protection is a better approach ultimately...

I changed my hoses twice in 10k miles from heat related degradation...

I shall be adding a better solution when I fit the turbo to my VR

So after some further reading I had potentially purchased some fuel hose of a dubious quality.

I have now purchased some Codan SAE J30 R9 High Pressure Rubber Fuel Hose.

It is supposedly "rated to 140ºC working temperature with intermittent 150ºC".

Do you think the charge pipe generates those sort of temperatures near to where the fuel hose connects to the fuel rail?
 
The air that exits the turbo especially on a mapped car could well be over 200 degrees C. The actual surface temp of the pipe probably wouldn't be much above 150 degrees if that. As long as there is air gap between the pipe and the charge pipe you will be OK. The factory fuel pipes use a kind of heat shrink over the pipes anywhere near the charge pipe. This helps to protect the pipe as well.
