Thing is bud, both cars have 5 studs but they patern is different. What jojo is saying is that you can buy replica wheels with your actual stud pattern. Or buy real and use adaptors.

ok guys thanks, where could i find them adaptators ? as would need to get some today...

Where you based ? A wheel specialist or Damian if your in the North East

i'm based in southampton so that might be a lil far for me lol ;) the guy just said to me that they fit on his golf mk5 without any adaptators or noting.

are they reps or oem that your buying
what are the sizes etc

They're 18x8jj 5 studs standard bolts.

ET offset bore ?

at 8j i bet there reps

Try fitting one first if you dont know the pcd. Anything written on them? I guess you have them already

No i havent go em allready, im going to see my mate that sell's them later on today, will try and fit one to see

Its just difficult to help without the info fella. Replicas can directly fit. Oem wont. Reps will be far cheaper and easier.

well tbh with you, i havent got much much knowledge in all this and worse i'm french, wich makes it even more difficult for me ! lol...

Your car needs 5x100 stud pattern, genuine Audi R8 wheels are 5x112. Replicas are usually 8" wide to cater for our tyre size, genuine ones should be 8.5" front and 9.5" rear wide? Though I stand to be corrected on this.

If they fit a MkV golf without any mods, they won't fit directly onto an S3 8L.

The golf V is 5 x 112 PCD, and the 8L is 5 x 100 PCD, 57mm centre bore.

If they're genuine R8 wheels, they should be 5 x 112 PCD, 57mm centre bore.

tooks could you tell me what adaptators i would then need to get and where i could get them from please ?

Something like this;

FK Alloy Wheel Hub Adaptors & Bolts VAG 5/100 to VAG 5/112 - £79.00 : The premier online mail order VAG suspension and performance specialists. We offer a wide range of all the best branded suspension and performance parts for all VAG vehicles at th

But, you need to check a few other things first.

If the wheels are genuine R8, then allowing for the adapters that by their nature also put the wheel further out from the centre line of the car, the width of R8 wheels may be a problem.

If the wheels are replicas, they may already be machined to 5 x 100 PCD anyway, and you may not need the adapters. As already mentioned, the reps may also be narrower than a genuine wheel meaning you won't have offset problems or the wheel fouling the arches etc.

Best bet is to check what wheels your mate has, or pop over and try to fit them so you're certain what you might need to make them fit, or walk away if they won't.

I know what it's like, you just want to get the wheels on, but it's more sensible to check first if you've got access to the wheels?

Can you send us a link to them if they are new?

Ok guys thanks a lot for all your reply's the easyest is me going there and try em on. I will let you all know.

Chap I know has genuine R8 wheels on his liquid S3.

Could ask him on what adapters he's using but tbh you'd need to find out if they are genuine are not- if they are I'll drop him a FB message or point him to this thread dude.

Btw I also run adapters on mine.....for 2 sets that you'd need they aren't exactly cheap. Think my H&Rs were over £200 for both sets brand new - so that's something you may want to factor into the 'fitted' price

Genuine R8 wheels are 11" wide on the rear and 8.5" wide fronts and they're also 19" diameter not 18" 5x112 PCD with a 57.1mm center bore
