Interesting article in the Sunday Times today on the Audi R8 Diesel (concept) - Audi have started allowing motoring journalists limited runs out surely meaning they are almost certain to go into production in the summer.

It will happen they have to do it.... followind the Le Mans and AMLS diesel contester...

Personally I would only buy it if fuel consuption was a lot less than the petrol one.... Otherwise petrol, less torquier but I prefer it that way...

Interestingly enough, they had to wind the torque back 500NM as the A4 gearbox they used couldn't handle the full amount, plus they couldn't get a clutch in time that would cope either! Imagine what the journos would have thought about 1,000NM?!?
