Hey. I drove the car as usual, i was in first gear, when the car tried putting second gear it couldnt there was a little clicking sound, and it put itself back to first gear, gearbox malfunction error appeared. Did this twice. I stopped for 15minutes and after this i could go home(5km), everything worked fine.
P060A
P179E
Theese are the fault codes.
Any ideas whats wrong?

Yes i found this information too.
But im afraid it might be because of something bigger problem. (Like mechatronics?) The car has 330k KM.

330,000 km…???? ****** hell that’s a lot. I was going to ask if it had the oil changed at 38k lol but that’s well irrelevant with that mileage…
Unfortunately the s tronic boxes are made of chocolate.
do you have any issues with reverse?
coudl be a multitude of things. I don’t think the sensor is an expensive option out of all the things it could be, so I would look at costs to replace that to start.
Best bet is finding a gearbox specialist, audi will tell you it’s the box and try to fleece you for £13k…
Where are you based?

Yes the car is from 2010.
No issues with reverse.
There was a problem once, i put the car in "N" and as i let off the brake i felt like the car was still in "D" it wanted to go gearbox malfunction appeared. But after this i didnt use "N" anymore and the car worked fine, until this problem.
Idk when was the last oil change, i should've done it when i bought the car, im sure it was not changed in time.
Hungary/eu.
I will try it, but in this industry there are a lot of specialist/mechanic who will tell me i need a complete rebuild, new mechatronic maybe(which is very expensive :D) even if its only the sensor. I dont really trust them. I dont even know if the gearbox is opened can they diagnose the sensor itself?!
Anyway thank you for answering, sorry for the mistakes my english is not the best.

I think from memory the sensor is only a hundred pounds, maybe two. They can access it via the gearbox lever area I believe, without having to open the whole box.
A mech unit will be about £4K. I would personally ask a garage to replace just that sensor and see it if fixes it. If it doesn’t, with that mileage it’s probably cheaper to scrap the car than do the rest…
Clutch packs can be done at a cost of around £2.5k, which is better than a whole new box.
This is why I will never get an stronic box again after my 2010 s4 failed on me. The early boxes were badly designed with not enough heat protection for the mech unit. However even newer boxes have gone with low miles. To be fair with mileage that high, I’d be surprised if it’s not already had a mech replacement or two…
