Audi parts pricing ,totally bonkers or what......

Well I have now lost what little faith I did have with audi on their spare parts pricing structure or lack of it...
I need to get a new sealing gasket for the PCV assembly, not for the pcv but a new pcv delete , rang around the normal sources and not stocked full stop.
Ok then I thought, plan B , ring my local TPS......yes we keep that part in stock, £24.00 for a sealing gasket that's no better than a rubber band....I nearly fell of my seat.
Now there is no way on this planet i'm being held to ransome for that sort of cost.....i'll find another solution , where do audi get there prices from, oh I know its the old , lets charge whatever we like for this bit as only we sell it.
Not amused at all.

Its mental pricing, ok they have to be made etc but the manufacturing process doesn't equate to that sort of end pricing....they make millions of them so costing should be low ......
