This morning I have picked up my car from audi after taking my car in for a full interior clean
At a cost of £50 plus another £12 for car to use while they 'cleaned' my car I'm really disappointed that my car has not been cleaned to I high standard after what I paid has any one else had the same happen to them?
I have attached photos

I would imagine that it's the typical young apprentice that has been given the job of cleaning your car and has done a half ***** job. I have OCD so as a young apprentice many years ago, i always made sure customers cars went back extremely clean.

Take it straight back and complain, that's not acceptable for £50.00

What Sean said. That car is dirtier now than mine was yesterday before I cleaned it myself.

Get your money back, and never use them again.

I would go 'customer service' mental if I paid for a professional job and got that - though I would have asked what level of quality was going to be done so that my expectations and theirs were set originally, so they couldn't wriggle out it with a poorer result than expected ...

If you broke it down to say even £20 an hour I would expect 2 hours of work, materials would need to be factored in say at 'bulk buy' rates so maybe that would be £10. That would make up £50 - just as an example of breaking it down - my figures may be off but that's the idea.

Thanks for your replies I have emailed photos to customer services at audi and just spoke to them and they are going to investigate and get back to me
Also in reply to Martin I didn't know what level but for £50 I accepted to be very high also I don't think they have levels as they just said it would be £50

Mate, the Latvians at the £3 car wash would do a better job than that.

I understand your strength of feeling, but strictly speaking, what the dealer is offering is fair. In law, your complaint is one of breach of contract. The dealer has an duty, implied or otherwise, to exercise due skill and care and provide the contracted service to a reasonable standard, and has failed to do so. The correct remedy for breach of contract under English law is for the party that is in breach (i.e. the dealer) to meet the reasonable cost of repairing the breach and fulfilling the contract. Translate that to your situation and it means the dealer should pay the cost of getting the car cleaned to a reasonable standard, which is what it's offerings do.

I don't think I agree why should I have to inconvinence myself because they have not done there job to a certain standard any way they have given me a full £62 refund as they say they won't be able to meet my high expectations coming from audi this is a joke as there website states 'you expect exceptional service when you take your car to an Audi Centre ' and I have recived no service what so ever won't be buying another audi love my car but service is disgusting

Hang on, which is it? Have they given you a full refund or offered to pay for another clean?

Then put it down to experience and move on. Stuff happens from time to time.

(oh, and buy yourself a couple of buckets and a vacuum cleaner, and clean the car yourself - it's what the rest of us do on here.)

They refunded you as they could not meet your high standards? Cheeky beggars! If those pics are genuine then they should be ashamed of charging you for it. They should not worry how high your standards are, they should focus on how high the valet guy standards are or they will go out of business.

He also said that my exspectations of what was going to be done was to high and they would not be able to clean the areas I have shown in the photos

Tbh i wouldnt actually blame Audi as a brand. It`s only the valeters they use. They arent "Audi trained or approved" Just a random firm that works for that dealer network or sole dealer. My place use total valeting and they`re fairly large around Bedford and MK. St Ives where i worked before used a family run business that only work at that dealer.

Also the price is probably set more so by the Valet company and probably a touch added on from that Audi dealer..

£50 for a interior clean at Audi, would be interesting to know what a detailing company would charge.

When my mate sends his S6 in for a service at the dealers he actually tells them not to wash/vac it as they did a terrible job the first time he had it done, it came back with water marks all over

Learn from your mistakes, dont use them again.

I'm right with you there. Even when I am happy with the service of a supplying dealer, I refuse point blank to have any information about them visible on the car. I have not paid umpteen thousands of punds to act as a mobile advert for a commercial company.

I used to valet at an Audi dealership as a sub-contractor. Agreed the standard is poor and that's a very high price for just an interior valet. I'm not saying this happened but what happened quite often is a car get's dropped on you out of the blue. Even if you booked it in in advance it does'nt mean the valeter got told until the day, when they already have a day's work on.
Even though you paid £50, if a dealership is using sub-contractors as nearly all do, the valeter would have seen about a fifth of that! He would have then wanted to do the job pretty sharpish and has rushed it, or just is'nt trained high enough to do a good job. Granted there are a few fidly bits to get to like the seat runners but it's not upto standard. There is probably more that has gone on behind the scenes that has led to a rush job.
This happened when I worked at Chrysler/JEEP. I would get told in the morning, oh you've got a Gold Valet to do today on a Grand Voyager. That's an £80 valet. I already had a day's work on and have had no notice. The sale's manager went mad at service one day and banned me from doing any more for them! From then on service came to me and we booked them in together in advance

They certainly did a p*s poor job of that. I wouldn't have taken the car home without them re-doing it or refunding my money on the spot.

sorry but I cant believe you have been registered here since march and you only have 12 posts and there all in here moaning about a valet that's went wrong!!

FFS use the £62 and buy an extension lead and a cheap hover and crack on with it.
then go to one of these places where you stick your change in and use the power wash on it. take a sponge don't use there brushes.. some of them you will even get wax from and to be honest there not to bad.
