Very long time since I've been on here as I sold my S3 about 6 years ago!
I've currently got a BMW 330 Clubsport but have found myself looking at the C5 S6.
I am starting to find having a coupe a bit of a pain in the **** (its a nightmare for the dog!)
Have seen a few ads for the C5 S6's which look like a good buy at the moment and I like the look of them.
Few questions:
What are they like to own? I expect fuel will be horrendous but I only do about 400 miles a month at the moment as I walk to work so not too big an issue.
Are they generally reliable?
Are the parts expensive (they've been cheap as chips for my 330 but if it was an M that would have been a different matter.....)
Are the auto boxes any good? I've not owned an Auto before but quite like the idea of one with the paddles and I've not seen a manual crop up for sale yet.
I've read some have cam-belts and others have chains is this true?
I've been googling but couldn't really find much on ownership of them apart from when they were very new.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
