Hi there guys,
I am new around here and would really appreciate if you could help a brother out. There’s my beloved Audi A4 2009 SE to which I’ve been doing quite a bit of upgrades so far and now I believe that the time has come for the wheels as well..

So the ones I got on it now are the OEM’s 17 inch 225/50 ones, but I recently found really good ones aaand it was basically love from first sight lol specs are DK 8.5x19” 40-offset which I was thinking to pair with 255/35 tires. Now my question is if someone could please help me out here and tell me whether I am going to have any kind of trouble with them whilst driving, cornering, going through bumps - rubbing etc apart from slightly increased fuel consumption.
Is it going to be a straight swap or I might have to do some other adjustments as well?
And these are the ones I’ve fallen for:

Btw Thank you all in advance!

Straight swap. No other mods NEEDED. Be sure bolt pattern of 5x112 and bore size of the new wheels is 66.6. If the bore is smaller they won't work. If the bore is larger you will need hub rings. Something like this:

Note all the different sizes. Wherever you're getting the wheels from should be able to match you up with correct size.

You will most likely also need different wheel bolts. Stock VAG bolts are ball seat (rounded) while typical aftermarket wheels are conical.

There are a LOT of wheel and tire threads on audizine. Might head over there into the b8 forums for picture examples.

You will notice an increase of road feel in the car. Some of the bumps that get soaked up by your current wheel tire setup will be more noticeable. This is mostly due to the shorter sidewall of the tire.

Personnel recommendation is to find wheels from a B8 or b8.5 s5. You will appreciate the look a little better. S5 wheels size is 19x9 with et 33. Here's some info at audiworld :

Hope this helps. Nice car. Have fun with it.

Hi,

I run a very similar A4 Avant SE Tec B8.5 2012 with standard 17s currently. I have been offered a set of 20 inch rotors which i plan to fit with 40mm springs in a few months. Can i run the 20's on the standard suspension? i believe this will raise the ride height by 2.5mm or something. Just wondering if anyone has done it this way before...

Many Thanks in advance.
