The spec is pretty much identical, Navarra blue black edition, except for gaining the virtual cockpit and rest of the tech pack. What really swayed me is that this has about 2 years and 3 months left on the warranty.

Congrats!

Just glanced at this but yes Reading Audi . I purchased a car from them which was with one of the group employees. I didn't get to see it properly until day of collection

Had it for week or more and then sent it back as found out someone had smoked in the car and they had tried to cover it up . They had the car back for two weeks but made it no better

Audi U.K. were useless. In the end I returned to the car for a refund . I wouldn't recommend or use Reading again

Picked up a replacement from Leicester, more money but least not been smoked in.

"Audi Approved" lol
From the Audi Approved Website,".....reassurance of knowing that all cars have to meet our meticulous standards before they reach the forecourt"
Haha. Yeah, RIGHT!
Absolute joke.

+1 on this sentiment ^

Having just gone through Audi approved myself and the checklist:
* lots of 'check' item x, y and z
* engine being the most expensive part - no sign of emission test - only fluid levels and ECU error codes checked
* tyre depth listed and that brakes 'checked' but even a normal service includes tyre depth as well as brake wear estimate
* apparently my S3 also passed all the hybrid checks for e-tron and that there was a charging cable present. Strangely, I didn't find one in the car though......

Thankfully mine seems pretty clean so far.

Picked up the car today and all was well at the dealership. Very pleased with it the car.

I did spot one thing once getting back home. There is a black circle just above the door. It’s like a sticker but feels like paint. Anyone have an idea what it is?

Never seen anything like that before so I’d get them to acknowledge it and fix it pronto. You could try and cut it/polish it out but why should you?! I’m sure they’ll sort it.

No used car is perfect of course and over my first month now of owning a 66 plate I’ve noticed various little chips/marks that to be fair have been well touched in.

Let us know what happens!

Will get that reported back to dealer and sorted ASAP.
Looks like it’s been burnt or something been burnt on to it. The second pic is more worrying as it looks like there’s a score that goes through the paint underneath the brownish circle.

I bought a 67 plate RS5 from Reading Audi last week and had a few issues. Within about 5 miles from the dealership on my way home the tyre pressure warning light came on. Had to stop at a service station and pump them up. Both rear tyres were low, They've not gone down since so they were not punctured, just not checked by the dealer. Also had an issue with the bonnet, it would shut but the dashboard graphic showed it was still open. A bit of pushing of the catch pins and all sorted. Final problem was a possible coolant leak. Warning light came on 24 hours after getting the car home. Topped up the levels and ok since but was told there was warranty work done on this issue. Now got to keep an eye on it, although it does now seems to be fine. All these issues should have been checked as part of their 149 point inspection. Makes you wonder why bother with a main dealer for a used approved car. Not sure I'll give them as much trust in future.

It certainly doesn’t look like that now. Like I said the whole wheel has been sprayed gloss black, even the diamond cut bits unlike the rs style. There was a lot more scratches and dent then what these images imply.

Will get that reported back to dealer and sorted ASAP.

Yeah, that’s my worry. I’ve been told the technician will look at it when I go back next week to pick up the missing parcel Shelf. I think whatever it is, it will need a respray on that panel which is quite a bit deal.

I also had this bonnet issue but didn’t think anything of it as I had recently opened the bonnet. Like you said, another push seemed to sort it. Very worrying to hear so many issues coming from Reading.

Used car checks and pdi is never done right.
I’ve had used approved cars with issues and 2 out of my 4 new Audi’s the dealers left the suspension blocks in when I took delivery.

I'm currently looking for a used S3 & there are a couple at Reading Audi! Not really sure they'll be getting my business! The contact I was dealing with has, for some reason been unable to get a video across to me & is now away from the office until Saturday. His manager has been passed 2 messages to call me...I'm still waiting! First impressions and all that. Thinking about sourcing a car from a decent Indie & extending the warranty with Audi when the existing one is up.

Send pics to the salesman as soon as you can so they can’t claim it happened days after delivery

Can you also post here (and send to salesman) a closeup pic of the affected area with the door open as it looks as if it continues on the A-frame behind the door window frame.

Also - pics seems to show the window rubber caught outside the chrome trim just above the affected area - send them that too.

Item 68 on the multi-point inspection checklist is paintwork so keep in your back pocket to ask why this wasn’t picked up and fixed/flagged during their checks.

Good luck & let us know how you get on.

John.
