Hi Think I have found to car for us, just one concern is the timing belt which I would look at having changed. The car has covered 160,000 with full dealer upto 141000. Am based on notts derby border are there any Audi specialist independent garages local that members could recommend. Thanks Maddadof4
I bought mine 2010 plate when it had 77.5k on the clock and the dealer changed it due to time of 5 years passed since new. Not sure after what milage you should change it but if the car you're thinking about is 10years old, timing belt should be changed twice already or had it once and needing another one soon. Cannot recommend any dealership or garage in your area as I'm in London, sorry. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
It’s a 2006 Audi A6 avant S line, the current owner seems to think the belt was done at 140,000 now done 161,000 in 2 years. Another worry is how low the car looks have asked if it’s been lowered but the owner seems to think not. It is nice condition for a 12 year old car
The s-line model has sports suspension and 18” alloys. It looks low. But sweet. Timing belt and water pump should be done every 5 years or 70k miles. If you get the cvt auto like mine make sure the gear box has had regular oil changes. Every 30-40k miles or every other year for good measure. Good luck.
