This is a real world consumption I am getting in my A6 50tdi Quattro S-Line
7.2L per 100km or 39.23mpg
This is mainly city driving.
Considering I have a heavy foot this is a very good result for a two tonne V6 with full time Quattro. On a motorway it is normal to get 5.3 or 53mpg at speeds of 120/130km per hour.

40tdi.....too work 12miles...no rush so nice and relaxed 72.5mpg
Home so get a move on was 42 something
Today's figures

My RS6 on a 650 mile round trip the other week averaged 32.9 to the gallon !!!!. Not bad for a 600+bhp twin turbo V8!!!!. This was sticking to all the posted speed limits etc as in Wales where we were the roads were covered in speed cameras as were most of the motorway there & back. The cylinder deactivation on these engines really does make them fairly fuel efficient.

On my 40 TDI Quattro, getting around 45 MPG around town and 55+ MPG on motorways. My petrol A4 B9 40 TFSI was only giving me 30 MPG around town. Diesel engines rock!! lol
