Audi A5 preface-lift led retrofit Coding

Hi,

I’ve recently just retrofitted pre-facelift led to my a5 which was fitted with halogen rear lights.

There’s not a clear website or forum with the specific coding and since it annoyed me a little I thought I’d put the coding into here because of the fact we’re all here to help one another
I’ll also attach the item number down below for the kit for RHD cars.


181 - old 65535 New- 64608
189 - old - 16383 New- 16380
191 - old- 16143. New- 16383
195 - old - 14852 New - 5125
196 - old - 14884 New - 5157
197 -old- 14980 New - 5124
198 - old - 15012 New - 5156
203 - old - 8266 New - 73
204 - old - 8298 New - 105


If you fit led reverse bulbs you need to change channel 181 to 61536 this will cancel the bulb error for the led reverse bulbs

Wiring loom Item number: 182213936698

This worked perfectly for my 2007 A5 without any bulb out errors or glitches with bulb combinations

The car it was fitted to was a 2007 and no modules were needed to be swapped either.

So I have an Audi A5 2009 pre led rear cluster model. Changed them to the 2012 led rear clusters. They work fine, however since I've installed them I have had to put up with the fault display on my rear bulbs as soon as you start the car, and touch the brake the 1st time.
Are you saying if these were coded to your quoted codes? This will go away?
And no longer see errors on my dash?

Sorry I mean't the rear clusters are now the ones which are pre 2012. ( late 2009-2012 model )

If it helps, the same coding information was supplied with the wiring kit for halogen to led conversion I bought about a month ago. I changed channel values, works perfectly with no error codes or warning lights.

@Slice636 - took the car for MOT today. I didn't realise that with this coding, when rear fog light is turn on, reverse lights come on instead. Did you experience the same issue and if so, do you know how to fix the coding. Cheers
