Hi all, can anyone recommend me a company who could do an EGR blank on my 2.7 TDI? I've been having some problems with my EGR cooler causing the exhaust to blow out white "smoke" where its burning coolant out. I'm not particularly mechanically minded so don't fancy doing it myself, am also new to the forum so please go easy haha! Thanks in advance!

Are you having it mapped out too? Quantum tuning done my remap & egr blank at the same time.

Out of interest, what kind of gains did you get out of the map?
I never had it on the rolling road but figures were 295 and 600nm torque (3.0l TDI). Torque makes the difference between

Its quite subtle, not aggressive. 30 miles more per tank as well.

That sounds absolutely ideal! Have just contacted my local Quantum remap specialist!

Word of warning blanking off EGR valves on our land rover discovery, became an MOT failure after changes to the inspection criteria. No experience on modern Audi, but thought I'd mention it.

There's an amazing amount of people who recite rules but don't know the in's and outs .

Didn't recite rules, I expressed what happed to our land rover discovery 3.
"Exhaust gas recirculation valve missing where one was fitted as standard Egr pipes missing (8.2.2.1 (a))"

I also said I don't know how it applied to modern Audi.

Yes on the disco the blanks were placed on the EGR valves (which had failed) and removed the pipes which fed back to the intake.
I'm guess people will adapt to MOT changes and now blank without component removal. As I said just ensure you know what will be looked for now with current inspections to ensure you don't run Into problems down the road.

Most modern cars with their top engine covers render removal invisible , the most stealth even invisible without a cover is a 1.5mm slip in blank .
