Audi A4, B6 chassis needs a facelift badly!

MoAudi1.8T
thanks for that info mate, photo's to be uploaded in a few days mate, have u started your conversion yet know of any bodyshops etc who are willing to do the conversion?

how about the Hofele RS4 look-a-like?

LINK

it's about £1000 for the kit once you include all the OEM fog grills, etc.... but still needs spraying and fitting!!

There's a "light" version, but still £500 territory.... but there's something not quite right with the RS grill that they have in the pic though....

I keep finding myself back at that Fontain page.... it's NOT cheap, but it's not that bad at the same time...

I wonder if they do that S-Line kit without the replica alloys?

Any idea how much those alloys are normally? £600?

If they take off the cost of the alloys and then do that kit for £1900, then it's not bad value considering that's probably touching on £1000 worth of parts and that includes spraying and fitting... considering once u get the replica alloys out the way, they're all OEM Audi S-Line bits

From what I can see, it includes: (and I'm guessing at some of the prices here, so please PM me corrections based on OEM S-Line parts and I'll update them)

Front top bumper (£200?)
Front lower bumper (£90?)
Lower centre grill (£70?)
Fog grills L+R (£36?)
Side skirts (£260?)
Rear valence (£130?)
Sill trims (£50?)
Rear spoiler (£100?)

Total: >£900

I got mine off ebay, 4 x OEM RS6 wheels with 235/40 tyres. Two had about 5mm of tread left, and two lasted me about 1000 miles. The wheels have benefitted from a refurb, but were quite useable. Cost me £300 - which was a good price I think.

I know that's roughly what the real ones go for 2nd hand.... hence why I'd rather get refurbed / decently looked after OEM RS6's than replica's.... plus, depite my best efforts I don't need new tyres for another year.... so would rather get the body kit now and look for real alloys later...

It's the S-Line kit and respray + professional fitting that's silly money and lots of hassle.... so worth it to get sombody else to do the work.... given soem of the quote I've had for respray and fitting, I'd rather get it all from teh one company and then they can't blame the parts, etc.

I wish they did, ha...Ive sourced some now but having to pay the retail price but I gotta have me some so its gotta be done!!!!

Yeah thats about right but No spraying, Im keeping them the original S4 colour.(matt Black/Dark grey)

If they were Sline blades then yeah I would have had them colour coded!

ah - it's £260 for the S-Line's, nto sure abotu the PROPER RS4 ones... I thought they were very much the same.

S4's are bulkier which I prefer to the Sline. Been after some for a while and its come to a point where im having to pay the full shibang.
Mind you with help of PJMSPEEDY he's managed to get me them at a cheaper price than I was quoted.

Just waiting for my Milltek which is going to take 2-3wks then Im grabbing the blades after.

......then its Picture Whoring time..:)...and finally New Sig!

PJMspeedy also helped me out with my Aero wipers - top bloke and were delivered to my work within 48 hours - faster and cheaper than Audi!

edit: and more convenient!!! My local Audi dealers insist on you turning up in person to pay.... and then coming back 1-5 days later when they get the stock in to collect... some business plans were designed to fail!??! Does anybody else have that BS?

My next nearest Audi dealres were charging more than 3 x Audi list price for parts...and yes, I checked part numbers!

Thanks for your kind words Lostbok:icon_thumright: Happy to help.

J7uss - Just say the words and those Blades will be in hand, and seems your not far from me in the week, a personal delivery with a free pint thrown in as well:beerchug:.

Lostbok- If you had been nearer I would have got you a pint as well!

Anyone else need anything let me know :o.k:

PjmSpeedy - I will do defo mate, just waiting to get my few bits that are on order delivered then peice everything together then we can have that bottle of Brandy...I mean that Pint.:icon_thumright:

Lostbok - I had an issue with audi just last week, I rang to order my Rs4 ARB but they said it needed to be chip and Pin, couldnt pay over the phone so I popped down and paid up, came nextday...

I then rang up for my bro inlaw to order a Clutch Rev switch and I said Id pop down and pay as they told me I had to order in but the guy said No need, PAY OVER THE PHONE!!!! I told him about the Rs4 ARB and he said whoever it was who served me (which they know by the Invoice) should have took payment over the phone...

...then after the balls'd up another bit I had to order, they charged my card automatically because they had in "on file"...by the Same Guy who told me "no sorry Mr, Chip and Pin Only"....dUh!!!!!!

RE: Audi dealers: it's the price differentials between adjacent dealers that really annoys me!! Grrrrr..... u should NOT have to shop around between the official dealers and workshops.... especially for ordered-in parts!! And don't even get me started on the chip'n'pin only... at least all my local dealers are consistent... sadly they're consistently uncooperative :( At least we've got PJM now and after their performance with orderign parts, I'm not trusting those monkey's with the car and it's going to the guys who have been looking VAG specialist local indy who has been after the Golf very well for the last 4yrs!

PJM... disappointed to hear that the couriers don't do pints, but I'll let u off for now ;)

...I forgot to add aswell that they also managed to Scuff my New Alloy wheel and had the cheek to say it was already there and was down on their Blue card..
Funny that because the stupid fat cow didnt even come out with me to look round my car when I left it with them.

How easy is it to write a card AFTER some Dumb **** wrecked my alloy.
Got to go back down monday to see what they are doing about it - I already know what they are doing about it :asskicking:
