Audi A4 avant 2016 boot closing

My Audi A4 avant boot has started having a mind of its own which is not ideal for the wife who is taking the push chair in and out of the boot everyday. The boot is opened by the key fob or the boot button on the drivers door but for some unknown reason then starts to close for no apparent reason, which is really dangerous! There has already been a few head injuries from retrieving the shopping and pushchair.
Ive noticed this problem has raised its head before on this forum however it doesn’t seem like we have a smoking gun.
The key fob still works fine for when I want to open or close the boot.
The battery has been changed in the fob too.
Audi dealership also wanted to start stripping the rear trims for £300 but couldn’t promise theyd find the fault!
Any ideas welcome.

You might be better off posting this on the B9 forum, since no B7 Avants ever had an electric tailgate and most of us are unlikely to be of help with such modern gadgets
