Hi anyone help with front headlights dipped beam.
Code 00978 lamp for low beam left (29) 57-00 electrical circuit failure

Code 00979 lamp for low beam left (31) 57-00 electrical circuit failure

Boths lights not working displays lights fault on dash

Have you opened the units, and checked the wiring?

The lights all ok it shows sane code if they plugged in or not.
Would they show open circuit if they was unplugged ?.
The left side worked on and off for couple weeks and then both went off

Bulbs ? Yes checked and if I unplug the headlights the fault stays the same.

Hi, I know it's been some years, did you manage to track down the issue?
I am having an issue with the Right xenon low beam Code 00979 lamp for low beam right (31) 57-00 electrical circuit failure.
From brief reading of some other posts, It may be a body control module, I've replaced the ballast and bulbs as well, switched ballast wiring, bulbs from left to right. Left is always working, right is intermittent, some days it will work for an hour then die out, looked at the wiring and repaired any damaged wiring covering I could see.
