Hi, I'm a newbe and hoping someone can help.
I've bought this audi a4 cabriolet with a roof problem;
Currenlty the behavior is that it will return the hood to the rear boot, but the rear hatch will not close, but it's a little inconsistent.
Some times it failes when the read hatch is opened and doesn't drop into the boot.
Afterwards, I have a problems manually locking the rear hatch, I have problems locking the key into the hole. not sure if this related?
I've been through the manual reset operation, and I even when the roof is locked, I get the warning light on the dash and message indicating that the roof is not locked. Going to remove fuse 30 so stop the annoying beeping.
Based on the fact the hood is moving, I'm guessing that the motor is ok, and perhaps this is a sensor thing?
So I'm hoping that;
* Someone can recommend someone in the northwest of England to fix it.
* Get guidance on what to check for
* Guidance of what scanner I might need to diagnose the faults, and how to fix?
* Any advice on the audi a4 2.4 v6
* Anything would be better than nothing, which is what I'm getting on www.vwaudiforum.co.uk
