So guys I follow the top 3 Ramap garages in Portugal in Facebook.
Since last month I saw A4s B8.5 2.0 TDI 136hp going for a stage 1 remap.

For my surprise they getting up to 200hp and 408nm. (lowest did 198hp and highs I saw 201hp).

They claim the 136hp 2 liters engine is very similar to the 177hp but heavy cap by electronics.

What you guys think about?

It doesn't really surprise me, A lot of manufacturers these days seem to put the same hardware on a range of cars and just detune the engine with the map in the ECU. Economies of scale and reduced parts inventories make it a sensible thing to do.
Also it's Portugal, they seem to get more out of any diesel engine than other people. Not sure if thats because they push them harder or there dynos read more on the optomistic side.

There is a culture of diesel tunning in Portugal mostly because Petrol\Gasoline is very expensive compared to Diesel here. As for Dynos, they imported.... The 2 main repro garages that I know one uses Rotronics by Dynosens and the other uses Ryme (One is French the other is Spanish I believe).

I wounder If the Clutch can handle the new torque.

400Nm is only around 300Lb/ft so thats not excessive at all. They all run 240mm clutches.

Thanks for the info.
I am asking because I am also considering a remap (but I have never droven a remaped car before)
