I am looking to replace my gearbox in my Audi A3 gearbox which has a transmission code of JWX. Does anyone know if I have to buy a gearbox with this code or there are others that will be compatible with my car? For example, I have been offered a gearbox with a transmission code of KVT which they say will work.
