Hey Guys and Girls,
@DJAlix and I recently retrofitted front parking sensors to my 2015 S-Line A3. My car originally came with rear sensors and I previously retrofitted the reversing camera so the front sensors were the next logical thing to do. I have MIB2 in my car (The MMI with the Carplay) and without the front sensors, you can't display OPS on the screen. This became annoying as I had the reversing camera and just to the right of the camera image it would show an annoying image of the car with a camera logo...such a waste of space.
Back to the point of this thread, Like I said
@DJAlix and I done the front sensors and this took pretty much all day. The issue is that for some reason the new button on the dashboard doesn't change the current screen to the parking display. The only way to get it up is by putting the car into reverse. We went through all the coding and looked at the wiring diagrams but couldn't find anything. When you do press the button it makes the initial beep to say the sensors have been activated and the button has the red light on it but doesn't show the image. If in reverse and the parking screen is displayed, you can press the button and it disables the sensors but for some reason, you can't initialise it with the button. This has lead me to believe that It's a coding issue and any advise or help you guys can give it would be much appreciated.
