    If you are going for the 12 sensors then sounds like you are also adding side assist / blind spot warning?

    The bumper pic in post #76 has a side assist sensor.

    added 2 x rear side
    Front 6

    total to add on 8 sensors inclusive of front grill

    i might go on adding side assist at the later stage but for now will be doing PLA

    on the #76 side sensor is just fitted , but seems to be the wrong sizing , as i understand that this size should be located at the front side bumper instead of the rear

    For PLA you will need to add 8 PDC sensors: 4 into the front bumper (red) and 1 into each corner of the front and rear bumpers (yellow):

    The ones at the bumper corners have a different mount size with a color matching bracket.

    Regarding wiring, a while back I compiled this table; it list the connections to the PDC module (5Q0 919 298 for PLA):

    But I only did a 8k pdc retrofit, I believe some people in this forum did retrofit the PLA 12k pdc.

    had the same concern at the time I had retrofitted mine with 12K... look for the spare parts, and had the chance to find the correct ones out there...

    i bought from aliexpress , but they does not provide instruction , only example connection cable colour , my paint workshop has fix the wrong sensors instead of front , he went to fix at the rear bumper :(

    2 x REAR ABS sensors to replace
    5qa 919 298d to replace current

    this is what i know so far , will sort out the wiring which is front and which is rear tomorrow

    i done up my PLA 12k on my audi A3 8v 2015

    i do notice that after fitting , the rear buzzer that i used to have , is disable ? and now is only the front buzzer which seems to be softer comparing to the rear when engaging reverse

    when driving about 10km i do hear the front sensors beeping , but on my mmi screen it does not appear , any coding i need to enable on 5f?

    Are you able to set the rear volume via MMI? maybe its very low or turned off. Regarding coding this is what I needed for the 5F adaptation channel:

    • IDE03581-ENG117685-Vehicle function list CAN-PDC_audio_lowering → Available
    • IDE03581-ENG117686-Vehicle function list CAN-PDC_audio_lowering_msg_bus → Comfort data bus

    This will enable the parking functions and config thru MMI, for the OPS display you need to toggle this bit in the Park/Assist module long coding:
    • Byte 2 > Bit 0 (Optical Parking System OPS active)

    for mine 2015 , i did an upgrade on my mmi - now is mib2 instead of the old model - is the coding the same ?

    front sensors cant be enable while driving ? or is there an way that we code it to enable

    Yes, Im able to change the freq and volume for front and rear speaker individually via the MMI menu; I would suggest you to check the connections of the rear buzzer at the 26pin wiring loom from the PDC module, and test the output of the speaker:

    For MIB2 coding should be the same, front sensors should come up by engaging reverse, pressing the PDC button or whenever there is an object nearby but only if "Automatic Parking Aid Acitivation" is enabled:

    I believe there is a "Mute Function active" bit at the parking module (byte 1 > bit 0), but I dont believe this might be causing your rear buzzer issue.

    i test on the test function , both sound coming from the front instead

    i did check on my coding , seems to be the same as yours on 5F , i do notice when speed is more than 10km , i cant activate the sensors when in "Drive" mode

    Yeah, PDC sensors won't come on if speed is higher than set on "switch off speed" setting:
    If both "park assist speaker" and "rear park assist speaker" output to your front speaker, there might be something wrong with your connections, as they should output one or the other.

    PDC sensors won't come on if speed is higher than the value set on "switch off speed" setting (on channel 10 adaptations), I believe the threshold can be set up to 20km/h or so:
    • IDE03782-Switch-off speed for parking assist,10 km/h,1

    i notice this happen when i first remove the ABS tyre sensors , did you code in "maneuver brake" ?

    I dont believe I have (remember I did 8K sensors not 12K). Also you might be missing some coding as 12K PLA sensors do require to code some extra stuff at brake, steering, engine instrument channels (thus some of the errors of your full scan), I did also notice that your 10 channel long code seems odd, it might be different from a 8k module but I think that as you have rear view camera your byte 2 coding should look different.

    yap 12k need to code some staff in ABS , i cant recall this option , if not wrong bit4-5 is stated rear view camera not installed or some other options , guess need to check on some topic posted in this forum or others , not sure someone did encounter
