Hi

AUDI A3 8V 2015 was bought with only one key (Not kessy), the remote control didn't work from the start, you could only enter it via key (the chip was bad). Now I have a second key, which was programmed by an unknown tech, he matched the key to the cars immo, but forgot or couldn't program the remote and it still doesn't work.

My friend has VCDS and I was wondering if it was possible to match the remote to the car using it. When we opened 09-Central electrics and went to adaptations there were a bunch of German terms and key matching was nowhere to be found. We've scoured the internet, but couldn't find any info on key matching with VCDS on new cars, only on older models.

Does anyone have any experience in this, or is it possible only with other more advanced programs like ODIS, VVDI etc.?

No you won't be able to do it with vcds .. Vcds isn't any programmer ..
You need to call specialist who has special progrmimg machine. And key cutting machine
And main thing is that immobiliser which is small capsule in key
Which needs to be paired .. There are hundreds of places in uk does the service
Can cost from £100. But at audi, they can ask very high price £500 or if not more

Both keys are cut and have been programmed to the immobilizer, they work with the car. I just need to program the remote lock/unlock.

Both ? Not only one ? So you don't have one original ?
If you have all done you need original key to sync other key for unlock

Try this looks like it is done by vcds but you need VAG dash programner as well since you don't have original working key, the sync must be done from the car ..

So, I guess it's going back to the tech, since I can't do anything myself with VCDS. Thank you for your insights.
