i have the leds and arduino powered in parallel as the arduino nano wont have no where near the enough amparage to power the leds. the strip runs on 12v too as well as 5v. 12v is brighter.
I use 5V 32u4 boards more often. About ~£5.What kind off arduino are you both using , been reading up on Arduino's
I've never come across a 144 LED/m WS2811 strip since the WS2811 is actually a LED controller with a separate RGB LED so occupies more space.
WS2812B is 144 LED/m is which has a max VDD of 5.3V as per the datasheet. https://cdn-shop.adafruit.com/datasheets/WS2812B.pdf
What are you using?
Running WS2812B @ 12V is a no go!
it would be really easy to do the fronts but i have a prefacelift a3 and dont think it would suit it. maybe with facelift xenons in place of drls.Need this in my life and you doing the fronts as well?

Yes Since ive taken the lens off, i need a good recomendation for a sealant to put the lens back on
Thanks, it looks more complete than what it actually is. Theres a few more things needed until its ready but im held up on my car as its a prefacelift and i dont want to be messing with the tail lights until its fully ready to be converted. If only i had another 8p to toy withThis is top, top work lads. Well done! The reverse light action is better than OEM.

Just need something with enough pins. An ATTINY85 has enough pins if using 1 continuous strip (like D7YAB) and costs £1

We used to to use Stika flex on car and train build it’s very sticky and flexible. But assemble in dry conditions and oil free environment
yea sure, so you want the inner and outer to start indicating at same time? and not have it flow as one strip. I can make a video. ill have it uploaded by tomorrow.Would you mind making a vid of the inner and outer light indicating at the same time? I think it would like quite cool (different) if they indicated together

Hi mate, sorry ive not had a chance yet. Remind me this weekend before i hopefully install the lights. The software is completely finished and its just a matter of fitting them in now really.Hi. Did you manage to make those changes?
I can work on them but I would need a set of those very expensive xenons to toy withthat is brilliant would love to do front and rear on my facelift s3
These are custom made, I will be selling them very soon. I'll provide more info when I'm ready to sell.So anywhere i can buy a set of these ?
great !These are custom made, I will be selling them very soon. I'll provide more info when I'm ready to sell.
that's the problem, cost of a spare set of front facelift xenonsI can work on them but I would need a set of those very expensive xenons to toy with
Appreciate it. You have me intrigued as to what your working on now. Also might as well drop the fact I'm starting Bluetooth controls of the lights using arduino for show modes . These lights have too much potential to leave them unexploredVery nice result buddy - props to you for keeping at it! Would be great to see how you've built that. I have a little Arduino project of my own - will post details once it's at a functional prototype phase

Multi-gauge that integrates with OBD and external sensors for boost, oil pressure, etc... It has an OLEd display and optional dynamic LED shift light. All of this is very configurable via a simple button interface and an interactive menu.... You have me intrigued as to what your working on now...
