Audi A3 8P Aftermarket Stereo Install

Hi, new member here.

I purchased an Audi A3 Sportback 8P 2007 about 6 months ago, love the car, and recently decided to upgrade the Concert double din stereo to an Alpine CDE-W296BT. I have been really happy with the sound out of the original Concert stereo, I have the 10 speaker system. Halfords have fitted the Alpine and are having problems getting the rear speakers and subwoofer working properly. There is sound coming out of them, but the rear speakers don't sound as good as they used to, and the subwoofer is only giving out a feint noise. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be. Was the correct harness used?

This definitely isnt a 'plug and play' jobby Im afraid, and I doubt Halfords are qualified to handle it. You could ask @Ash187 for advice , or just pay him to do it for you properly.

Thanks for getting back to me, they first tried the Autoleads PC9-401 which didn't work, then they tried a PC9-417 which has got the rears and sub working slightly.

Halfruads did the job?
Get your money back from them mate and have it done properly.
Use connects2 wiring harnesses for a proper install

Thanks Ash187, yes that is the where I am at with them, just going to get them to remove it or get a specialist to get it working. Do you know which Connects2 harness I need ? Thanks
