before you purchase a new exhaust, take off the resonator just after the converter. after the converter, two pipes are present. one has a resonator. replace with a pipe and then enjoy. it has the same sound as R32. if you want added noise without any bump in hp, then replace intake with evoms or similar. pretty cheap modifications with modest gains in nice noise without spending big bucks on an exhaust which does not add much to HP
Will this cause any drone in the cabin at all? I do love how quiet the car is when cruising around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wack a standard S3 exhaust on it. I did it to mine a few months ago and it sounds amazing! Might stick out a bit too far on a standard bumper though. Joe
I've just put up a video I made showing it off, it's on my project thread. http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/a3-3-2-8p1.245811/#post-2991870 Joe
Cat back is the way to go, really compliments the V6 and adds as much noise as you specify from the tuner. I advise against sports cats or a decat as they don't add anything and can throw up an EML. Here's mine before and after...
My car has the Votex rear diffuser, the reason I fitted an S3 system was for the extra length on the tips. I didn't fancy someone cutting off the originals and lengthening them. The sound change was a completely unexpected surprise. It's not perfectly centralised in the cutout, but it's infinitely better than what was there before. Joe
