AUDI A3 2.0TDI BKD COMMON ISSUES TURBO AND GEARBOX

Hi everyone bought a Audi a3 2.0tdi bkd 140 2008 as a daily and I absolutely love it driven quite a few as the years have gone buy so just knew I had to get my self one got one last week one owner amazing service history 104k miles on it only thing I'm worried about is the turbo and the dual mass flywheel I'm aware there quite common to fail more so worried about the turbo my question is is there anything I can do to prevent both things from failing I'm aware of regular service and letting the car warm up and cool down but want more tips on increasing the life of both things I was thinking of getting it remapped but don't want to cause strain on the turbo and other componentsn

Regular servicing should see you (mostly) alright. You can only look after it as best you can, you don't know how it was treated before you bought it. Maybe keep it as is for a little while until anything 'develops'. Once you are comfortable or more confident then you can think about remapping...
