Audi A1 passenger window fault!

Hi guys,

My girlfriends A1 has developed a fault where the passenger side window doesn't go down. When I hit the switch from both sides I can hear the relay working, and the door seems to have power (little window emblem lights up on the switch).

Before I start dismantling, are there any faults I should be aware of that are common or are easy fixes? Am I right in saying the window doesn't have a fuse as such but more of a trip?

Any help appreciated as I'm rubbish with car electronics!

Hi,

This may be a shot in the dark, but the A1 is known for its windows sticking in the frame. Could be worth holding the glass either side, and while pressing the switch pull down the glass.
