I really want to install an In Phase USW300 active sub to supliment my new focal ISU200 front speakers.
I won't have an issue feeding the high level inputs from behind the stereo, think I've figured out how to do that using posi taps and long speaker wires to the sub.
The only issue is powering it. I cannot for the life of me find a way through the firewall to get the the battery terminal. I could drill through, but I can't even find a good place to drill - I tried turning a screw sort of thing from the inside passenger foot area to see if it was the same screw coming out of the firewall - but it wasn't so now I'm not sure.
Is there any access at all from the engine bay to the footwells? Seems like an impossible task - but one other on another forum (now disabled) seemed to have managed it.
The specs of the sub say 10a max consumption.. I'm thinking I could feed off the fuse box but that doesn't seem to be a popular idea.
Any help appreciated.
