I've been doing a bit of research on the differences between the AGU engines and the APY engine (for reasons, see here: http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?88861-More-S3-Drama)

Now, I've been looking to see if the flywheels on the AGU and APY are the same today. And the answer is yes. Euro Car Parts list the same dual mass flywheel for both the AGU and APY. Simples.

Now my question is this:

If the flywheel is the same out of the box, then why can you buy a solid flywheel conversion kit for the AGU... but not for the APY....?

Seems a little odd to me, wondered if anyone knew the answer?

euro car parts dont do a soild flywheel kit for the quattro gearbox as it 240mm my engine code is ajq and on there system they told me they did so i brought one then went to change it and realised it it was too small as my car is quattro engine codes are pritty much irrelevant when ordering a clutch an the a3/s3 al;l that matters is wether its quattro or fwd and 5 or 6 speed

I agree it is about the quattro system and the speed box, aslo the bearing differ.
