I would imagine that there will be a Black Friday sale and so you should get the price down.
Whilst I have no experience with the company, TVS are held in high esteem and I believe mapped the gearbox on the Awesome GTi TTRS.
They also did the latest big power TTRS in the latest performance Audi magazine.
I’m not so sure about the APR ecu software. Since I had my S3 flashed to APR 2+ Three years ago, I have done a number of well proven additional modifications to improve the hardware and so there is very little left to add now at stage 2+. One of which was to fit a turbo back BCS exhaust with a 3.5” downpipe and 100 cell sports cat for maximum flow. The chaps at BCS said I would need to get a map tweak to account for the exhaust and less cells in the cat.
So I had an APR specialist put my car on the rollers to see if any adjustments could be made. No settings were changed on the map but of course APR is generic software. Whilst it was a different company dyno with a different operator, my BHP fell by 3 but my torque had increased to 399 lbs ft, up from 379 lbs ft so my hardware improvements had made a difference.
A custom tuner would be able to tweak the map to take account of the actual hardware on my car and so I may go down that route next year and move away from APR.
Whilst I know it is not about headline figures, it is the way it drives that is important. The APR software produces noticeable surge between 3 and 4K revs on my car and I would like to get that reduced.
Currently running in an RTS clutch so no full boost for a while!
