Looks like some kind of blue gasket that isn’t fitted properly but I hesitate to take out the headlights to investigate, as it’s an approved audi

I can try and get a gooseneck inspection scope behind it tonight, wondered if anyone had some ideas or seen it before

This is on both sides of the car and wondering why this would be in place on a car that’s 4 years old

Any comments would be appreciated

Loosen the lights, see if they pop out easily.

Thomas NHN, will take a look tonight after work. Hopefully just a cleaning product that‘s come in from the front of the wing and it got trapped and pulled away from the mitt.

Its a bit of blue sponge or something from cleaning, get it pulled out

I get that quite often, if you wipe at just the wrong angle when washing your car the 'fingers' on a microfiber wash mitt get caught between the front edge of the wing and the edge of the headlight, can be quite difficult to persuade out, best way is to pull sideways towards the grill.
we must use the same wash mitt
