The S-line l seen yesterday had silver 18s fitted they looked a wee bit lost in the wheel arches also the padded pvc arm rests looked and felt better in the s-line than they did in the sport trim car l sat in severel weeks before exactly like the quality of pvc l had my sportback pfl it still needs the option of a higher quality pvc ie extended faux leather ...the more time l spend looking and sitting in the car the more l like it But l must admit Audi have made a rats **** of the standard ......S3 variant specification.....and most of all the speed of adding the other variants to the line up.....
I actually managed to see a saloon and sportback model in the showroom this week, didn’t like either to be honest. The proportions of the car are all wrong and both sat unnecessarily high, to the point were I actually asked if they were still in transportation mode, they were not. If I had a nice spec low mileage FL version of the previous model I certainly wouldn’t be changing it for the new model.
It does look good from the year, unfortunately that’s not enough to make up for all the other flaws. I just couldn’t live with its stance on the road, as it sits so high it just doesn’t have the squat sporty appearance of the 8v. I would really like to see one on lowering springs and spacers, that may change my mind.
Every car has its flaws even the M2 CP Glass houses etc etc S3 suspension height looks about right to me Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk
You've got a thing about vents whether its internal or external mate...fact is they're there...and they won't go away ....so a flaw so to speak but if your going to get the new 8y you'll obviously overlook this or any other flaw as no car is flawless Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk
Ha I think you are right, I just don’t like them. I wouldn’t rule out a 8Y just yet but would probably wait and see what a facelift delivers. Next car will definitely be 4WD though whether perm or temporary.
I never said that the M2 CP didn't have it's flaws, that is one of the reasons I didn't buy one, there were one or two things I couldn't look past and they couldn't have been solved with modifications. You don't seem to be able to accept that the S3 has any flaws, you seem to be blinkered when it comes to that subject.
I never said the 8y S3 was flawless or even the 8v S3 l said every car has its flaws but if you like a certain car enough to buy one you'll overlook them flaws, but liking a car enough to overlook its flaws only gets you halfway ....getting a good deal on one is that other half
Even if you can fix or live with the flaws, I think you are out of luck with regards a good deal. Audi seem to be going against the rest of the industry with their stupidly high interest rates, and zero contributions or discounts.
I know this hence l dropped out of a tts vorsprung deal wasn't paying 6-4% on a 6 year old model...and l aint going to change my mind until the APR drops on either the S3 or TTS apr's should drop off a bit come the spring I could easily get a brilliant deal on a Beemer but BMW don't have a model l desire in my price bracket ....I'll wait Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk
I agree interest rates are ridiculously high! Have you looked at loans from JL , M&S and others. £20,000 over 7 years is 3.5% and £267 a month. Not sure what balance outstanding is after say 3 years but worth a look. Think Halifax / Lloyd even offer a PCP ( deferred payment) option. You can still take advantage of manufacturers PCP options and Audi contributions by setting everything up beforehand and withdrawing within 14 days.. premature PCPulation ?
Looks great , nice if you could get it in UK but we got to wait for God knows how long or even better a S3 edition one "oh know your out of luck with that not coming to UK " I may look at the A35 amg saloon now Sent from my SM-T720 using Tapatalk
Ride height on that one is fine, but in reality having seen two in the showroom they don’t sit like that. Hopefully there are some better wheel options, those are awful and also too small for the car.
It will be interesting to see if they do drop their interest rates, currently no sign of this happening.
That car has the adaptive suspension no A3/S3 has hit the uk with it fitted so far as its only available on the Vorsprung variants as far as l know Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk
I know Audi are taking their time releasing other S3 variants....where did you get information that there won't be a Ed 1 S3 as every other A1,A4,A5,A6.Q2,Q3,Q5 etc etc have a Ed 1 model Price difference between the standard S3 and the Vorsprung versions is almost £8000 thats a huge gap in price ...so an educated guess suggests that Edition 1 S3 will fill that gap time will tell ....Vorspung will be available soon to order going by the YouTube vid from Audi UK Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk
Dealers are clueless to whats happening l spoke with one on Friday afternoon...l wouldn't have bought a bag a crisps off this jerk.....
Never seen Edition 1 on S or RS products. Probably a Black Edition at some point if sales aren’t good. Usually takes them a while !
Reason l know about edition 1 "S" cars is because l was looking into the new S5 as for RS its known as Sport Edition Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk
Where is that Humble Pie... Apologies, how long has that been going on. I did note that Q3 are now doing SLine. BE , Edition 1 and Vorsprung.
Phew... I'm not keeping up these days as not planning a new Audi yet. Targa 4S next... finishing build this week....
Metallic Black, black/crayon stitch SS seats, Carrera classic wheels, sport chrono , PSExhaust. Bose... still it’s a posh member of Audi family.. can’t wait.. keeping RS4 too so very happy.
Look forward to seeing the photos....stunning car if it where me it would to be in Miami Blue....but l see PTS is'nt available on this model nor any model My Porsche 718 Boxster S in Miami Blue 20's led headlights pdk, pasm black/chalk interior, bose, sports steering wheel,front/rear sensors
Miami Blue is a lovely colour but I’m told a problem colour for Porsche and has been discontinued. Was tempted with Gentian Blue but not 100% so Jet Black with silver Targa hoop! Forgot to mention ventilated seats which were a must have option for our EU trips. Plus LED and storage etc .As you will know Porsche options are worse than Audi. Easy to spend £15-20k+ Extra. Got a good discount though!
Miami has been discontinued and the options are just silly money....no point in buying without having discount
It amazes me the folks on here who buy based on ‘what can I have for £500 a month’ . Bonkers.. with a bit of creative accounting you can buy what you like... however taking an accountant view where depreciation is the key factor it’s best to buy with discount, sell before you lose too much and finance sensibly if you need to!
When I started this thread I was asking about pictures of the standard wheels. Finally found some off a car on autotrader. To say they are bad is an understatement! Plus the wheel arch gap is huge.... hope this is due to transportation blocks. I still haven’t ordered a new car.
My RS4 is Daytona Grey and TT is silver. Old MG Midget is Blue...what are you on about?? Porsche.Com Code is PMMAZBU4
