Anyone on stage 3 bluefin?

Is anyone on stage 3 bluefin? If so what are the figures like please?

When I first bought the S3 I thought stage 1 would 'do' this is no longer the case. Current spec is stage one bluefin, revo intake and miltek downpipe and sports cat. So all I need is miltek catback and hpfp. Now I have been on superchips website and seen their stage 3 map will take me to around 320-330 bhp. This isn't really what I am after.

I see claims of 360 on revo and apr and 350 with shark.

My my prediciment is do I stick with bluefin and pay the £50 to go stage 3, or do I look at other, more expensive options.

I always tale dyno runs with a pinch of salt but I am after cold hard facts here as last thing I want to do is say move to revo for £500 when their stage 2+ map is in reality no different to superchips stage 3.

If it was me and the bluefin is under a year old and you bought it new then you can get it reset free, I'd then sell the bluefin for £280-£300 and put that towards another map.
If your not the original owner or the bluefins over a year old then I'd take the chance on the £50 upgrade and see what it's like.

I do think a stage 2+ from one of the big tuning companies will be more powerful and drivable but will it be £300-£400 better only you will know.

I don't understand it either tbh mate! It's all over my head lol....

I went to stage 1 which is apparently 315bhpm with my remap, and added a Revo CAI which supposedly adds around 16bhp???
That means I should be running around the 330bhp mark?

But a stage 2 remap states it puts the car around 330bhp?

So my question is, why would I need to pay £400 to go to a stage 2 when I'm already on 330bhp or thereabouts? Lol...

I'm going straight to stage 2+ next anyway.... Don't see the point in a stage 2!

So I can get the bluefin wiped for free, and whoever buys it after me will just have to plug it into there car and choose which map and it will be loaded on there's for free?

My understanding was of they wipe it the new owner pays full whack for the new map, thus making it worthless really.

It is very confusing isn't it! I've also been looking into live mapping. I basically want the best value/ performance for my money, as I am sure we all do.

Only if you are the original owner and its under 12 months old then you can ring superchips and they will reset it for free.
For it to be reset the map needs to be taken off the car and you plug it back in to your PC to reset it.
Once it's reset you can sell it on and whoever buys it does the same as you did when you bought it with no further cost to pay.
I've owned 2 bluefins and reset and sold both of them.

Given the development time differentials the headline BHP figures may be similar but I bet the overall experience is quite different. People read too much into headline BHP figures, it's only a small part of the overall story. I'd be going elsewhere.

The dyno and real world don't tend to deliver the same results. Revo spend hours driving their cars on the road as they found they were able to deliver far more useable results. If you can get a passenger ride in any cars well worth doing to get a sense of how they run. Hard to do, but I think it's the only way you get a real sense as graphs are only as good as the rolling road / cooling / operator!

I went the Blufin route cos I wanted a quick fix at home, like the results so far. Noticed the blufin Stage 3 is the same as most other maps Stage 2+. Done the CAI, downpipe and sports cat next then HPFP, then its only 50 quid from stage 1 to stage3 might as well see how it performs and maybe get it on the dyno before spending 400-500 on a REVO map. Just my thoughts.

Confirm with superchips that they'll reset it free but if under 12 months and original owner then yeah.
Either be honest or tell them your selling your car hence the reset.
