Busily swapping out stereo, road Angel, car kit etc in my new purchase and can't find anything that runs off the ignition and stays on until you pull out the key.
The stereo uses the CANBUS so only has perm live, I've had the fusebox out and they're all either perm live or go off when you turn the engine off.
Any idea's?

Fuse number 5 should be 12v switched in the A4, it was on my '02 avant anyway.

Yup, I did that also, I would also always in line fuse any feed you take since it could cause issues with where you have tapped it. Most in car devices (phone/speed detectors etc) can use a 2A inline.

Did you try fuse number 5? My Siemens bluetooth kit stayed on till I took the keys out from memory.

AndyMac, did you ever solve the riddle of where to tap in to the loom of the B6?

Just got my Parrot CK3300 bluetooth handsfree and gps kit delivered and I need to install this along with hardwiring my Ipaq for SatNav/Camera alerting duties. I'll probably end up getting a local ICE specialist to install it (patience always seems to be in short supply when it comes to routing cables behind the dash) but would be good to tell them where to take the key controlled power feed from.

Cheers,

Matthew
