I've been tempted with an old G reg Audi 100 as a runabout. It's a 2.2 turbo Avant, low mileage and quite cheap.
Haven't seen it yet, going Monday but don't know anything about them. Are they quick / thirsty / troublesome / worth anything nowadays in good nick?
Any help or advice appreciated as always!

All I know is the 10v turbo engines are very strong, but the ex manifolds are prone to cracking. Can be repaired by a good welder.
I doubt it is worth much at the moment, probably worth more broken up to be honest.

Righto, just wondered, it's exteremely low mileage, only about 40k!
Spose it's a bit old to be desireable and a bit young to be collectable still.

iirc the manifolds start to crack at approx 75k miles so that should not be a problem. My thoughts exactly about the age . Guess that makes it a good time to buy..
