Anyone experienced this..........?

Hi all.

Noticed that part of the outer circle of the visible radiator fan is missing on my A4 130 TDi (AWX).

Any idea how this could've broken off? It is part of the outer circumference between two fan blades, approx 2-3" of plastic.

Just buy a replacement blade assembly, or a complete unit with the motor.

I'd go without personally, mine's been unplugged for about the last 5 years, not really needed on 1.9tdi's.

If your car left the factory with this particular fan, I would not leave it out. I would replace it. It was fitted for a reason.

Every car is different, operating parameters, terrain and driving style differ too. Some TDI's run hotter than others. For what it costs, I wouldn't risk cooking an engine.
