Anybody know why my car remote does this ?

I was standing at the rear of the car.
It also seems not to work as well as it used to ie won't work as far away.
Any ideas.

It was in the garage but it usually works with the door closed.

When it flashes like that its to signal out of range.

Perhaps try new battery?

Yes that way is was thinking. But I have replaced the battery already.

Perhaps viewing MVB 11 in module 05 will help?

Measured value block 11:

Bit 7 ...<--... Bit 0

  '0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0'

1. Remote control key '0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0'

(Bit 7-4: (0 = ID sender unknown); Bit 3: Battery (1 = Low);  Bit 2: open; bit 1: Rear;  Bit 0: close)

2. RRC (command from J518 on CAN)  '0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0'

(Bit 7: Wrong response;  Bit 6: No response;  Bit 5: Carfinder error;  Bit 4: CAN Carfinder;

 Bit 3: CAN PANIC; Bit 2: CAN Rear;  Bit 1: CAN Close;  Bit 0: CAN Open)

3. Reception strength of remote control key

(hold remote control key directly against rear window when operating)

If the value is less than 170, check the battery in the remote control and the connection from the electronic ignition lock -E415 to the aerial according to the current flow diagram.

You have two keys or one? If it same with two keys then very high possibility that the problem is in ignition/starter switch part number 4F0910132...
