Hi
th performance have just moved into the estate where I work
spoke to the guy and he does a pendle performance map for my 3.0 tdi quattro
from 240 -300 bhp and torque from 500 to 595
and will do me a good rate for it
has anyone had any experience with pendle maps

Should I go for it or find another remap

Cheers

They are a reasonably large company and have been around for a while so probably a reasonably safe map. Can't say I have heard anything bad of them.
Looking at the website for Pendle the remap says 290 bhp and 595Nm , obviously you can get more if you push it a bit more and remove the DPF, mine is running 312 bhp and 720Nm. But if the price is good and you don't want to go to the hassle of removing the DPF then it sounds good.
I would think you would notice a significant improvement in performance from standard.

He did say they were conservative with estimates of power
and said it he would expect to see 300
even though the map lists 290
might bite the bullet and get her booked in

No black smoke, the remap done by Rick at Unicorn was very good. You can sometimes see a light grey mist behind the car when really giving it some, more so when I run the WMI but a lot of that may be steam.
Here is a picture of the car taken at the GTI Festival at Santa Pod last year. This is about as bad as it gets.

I don't subscribe to the school of no smoke no poke, you can tune a diesel for good performance without leaving a fog bank behind you.
