Any experience / opinions on this downpipe?

Want to keep the stock cat back system for now, but remove some restriction from the stock downpipe.

This looks to be a low hassle option, anyone fitted one? Think it would be any better than stock?

Pointless. Just buy a 3"downpipe, its still going to be just as much hassle to fit that as it would a 3" jobby.

I suppose, but then the price goes up considerably as you need a sports cat!

waste of time, money and alot of swear words.

You don't HAVE to get a sports car, get a decat. Having said that, relentless Downpipe with sports cat is about 350, if you don't think that's cheap then don't bother touching it.

Decat is probably the most sensible option, and MOT will not be a problem ;-) Just not found any real info on whether a decat is road worthy if spot checked or crashed!
