Annoying problem with rear window maybe a VCDS problem.

Hello,


This is getting to be a annoying problem for me, if I hold the open bottom on the key fob down all the windows go down, but when I hold the closed only the front windows go up and leaving the rear windows down. Had a look on VCDS and can not seem to find anything, will I need to adapt? Someone has told me it may because my car has folding mirrors but I find this hard to believe.

I've changed the rear passenger window switch, still no joy also I've tried resetting them to there upper and lower limits using the window switches and still haven't got anywhere with is.

Also previous scans show no errors and the rear window coding is 00144.

i have the latest version of VCDS.


Car is a 59reg audi s3 sport back.

have you set all windows in the mmi
can do it on my a4 a3 may be diffent

That's the thing it's not! Really want to try and sort this thought the rear passenger switch was holding it out, replaced that and still not one touch up or closing with the key.

No one touch on the rears, All the rear window switches have the two down and up clicks and I'm pretty sure the coding is correct(00144)

Yes the closure wont work for rears if the one touch isn't working, that sounds like a coding issue tbh, have you checked 62 & 72 coding?
 
Yes I have the coding is 00144, is this correct? I spoke to a guy on mk5golfgti (ed) and he says the coding seems correct. If someone has a a3/s3 similar to mine it would be very apprieative if some one could post up there coding for the rear windows.

This car has had loads of problems with it since I bought it so I'm trying to iron out all the bad points.....seems like everything on this car has previously been a bodge job......:(

That's weird I states vcds version 14, just checking with RT about this as I cant find that version on cable based vcds.
 
NHN and dandav1985, VCDS 14.5 is the current Beta with support for the HEX-NET WiFi interface.

I would run the Autoscan on 12.12.2 - the current release of VCDS and see if there is any difference.

If there is a difference, we need to know and need to look into the Beta to see what is up with it.

Yes the front/rear switches work and rear switches work, but the one touch will not work on either......I'm glad the coding is correct at least that's a step in the right direction.....:)

Well I'd check 09 for any relative coding to the door numbers as in 3 or 5dr, any changes you may have made, it is strange.

Hi

i I have a 2007 A3, this week the electric mirrors have stopped working/folding using the drivers door switch and the rear windows won't work with the drivers door switch either. The rear windows work with their own switches, all wiring and fuses are ok, could a new module be needed? Current one is 8P0 959 801G and I can't find a replacement anywhere!

Here's a new scan done with the 12.12 VCDS still no error codes for the rear door and all the bytes are tick as they should be.......Still confused.
