Apologies if this has been asked/answered previously. I have just got a new A4 and have tried to connect android auto through the MMI (I previously had a 2017 A4 and it worked fine with the same phone and USB cable ) however I keep on getting "communication error 11" on my phone and no matter what I do I can't get android auto to launch through the MMI. Has anybody else encountered this and/or got any ideas? I've cleared caches in all my apps and re-installed AA a few times but nothing seems to work.

Try deleting your phone from the car then reconnect. If it’s still not working try another cable.
Also try cleaning your USB port - ideally using electrical contact cleaner. Mine died recently and this fixed it for me
