AMI IPhone Not Supported

I picked up a 2012 A7 during the week and when I connect my iPhone via the 30pin Ami lead and 30 pin to lightning adapter cable, the Ami says the source is unsupported. I checked an old iPod on the 30 pin lead to ensure the Ami port was ok and it worked.

There seems to be a lot of stories on google of people with the same issue, but I couldn’t find anything on here. Apparently it may be related to ios11? Is there no cure for it?!

Strangely I tried Mrs Lyons’ phone in the car yesterday (also a 6S, but iOS 11.3.1) and it was recognised by the AMI and performed as it should.

It now makes even less sense why mine isn’t working!
