AMI + iPhone 16 Pin + Lightning problem

Hi

I've got an AMI with my RNSe, but I've only got the old iPhone connector cable.

I got an official Apple Lightning male to 16 pin female adapter, but when I plug it into my phone I get an error "only one device can be attached at one time" and it doesn't sync the music to the car.

I was under the impression it worked as long as I use the sync+data adapter, am I missing something? Do I need a new AMI cable? Do they even do one for the 8P A3?

Is the Ami cable original or aftermarket.

There is a new lightning Ami cable available now.

 

Original Audi, and the 16 pin to lightning is OEM Apple, too

I've found something about the new Lightning cable, but it doesn't look like it'll fit my phone with my case on, which sucks.
