Hiya guys, I have a B6 1.9tdi quattro and last weekend I fitted some new B5 S4 front brakes and now I have an Amber warning on constantly. I noticed the S4 pads don't have the wear sensor on them and so I just clipped the wire on the car up securely out of the way, I was just wondering if I us the plug from the old pads and solder the wires together to complete the circuit, would that cure the problem? I would have already tried it by now but being busy with work and stuff has prevented me. I'm only asking because I've heard that some systems have to read a certain resistance through the circuit and so simple joining the wires up wouldn't work.
