Just had the fright of my life, driving home, pretty much dark, I see an animal ahead, this animal runs out and luckily, I manage to swerve to the left but unfortunately there was a loud noise. I hear it from the side so I think there's gonna be some damage to the door, when I get home and look, there's barely anything there, just where the mud has been wiped away from the door from the animal.

I'm gutted maybe when it gets cleaned there'll be some scratches but is there anything else I should check for? Suspension etc.

Check it's still breathing and for a pulse, if it has either, run over it again. Then dust the car off and hunt for more animals to run over. Cats are my favourite.

Jokes aside, I think you would of noticed anything wrong on the remainder of your journey.
