Allroad 2.5 tdi 180 Tyres & Dash Fault

Hi, just joined today having purchased a 55 plate 2.5 tdi 180 auto Allroad.
Looking for some advice on tyres and profile depth. Should I stick to 55 anyone ran 45 or 50 on standard 17 wheels?
I have a fault that comes on after approx 3 miles or the equivalent in time if the car is stationary. Hight, Abs, and a warning sign with a circular display around it.
The car doesnt feel any different when this happens and doesnt effect driving.
Could this be the brake light switch that has a faulty part or has failed?
Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

The main reason for activating these three alerts is the ABS system. Do you have the option of scanning car malfunction codes?

Unfortunately not I would have to book it in to the garage. I intended to do the brake switch myself as it doesnt look to difficult.
