Just wondering if anybody could help me

Wondering if 19" 8.5j ET43 wheels would stick out of the arch on 2009 Audi s3 sportback

Don't think they'll stick out, the tyre may rub on the arch liner though.

It will depend what tyres you are running on them.

215/35/19 to be extra safe
225/35/19 should be ok
255/35/19 going to rub.

You can take out the arch liner screw to help with rubbing.

I'm sticking some new wheels on at the weekend in that fitment which arrived with 255's so I'll let you know how it goes

Bentley 19x9 et 41 look spot on so 8.5 et43 should look just as good

Not too sure here as when i had 225 /40/18 . On a sport back with et 45 . I had rubbing issues with arch screw removed .
Car was lowered on hr springs so i had to swap the rear springs for slightly higher ones . Rims where 8j width

Generally speaking 18x8J ET45 is perfect. I imagine the tyres you had on were a really wide 225. Unfortunately there is no consensus amongst tyre manufacturers.

The 225 Vred Ultrac Vorti on the front of my car could easy peasy pass as 235 with some other manufacturers.

What is the actual standard wheel size for a s3 ?
