This is Alex Zanardi doing a driver change practice for Daytona 24 hours. Chaz Mostert is one of the co-drivers in this BMW factory entry.
I think the team guy whose only Jobe is to assist with changing the steering wheel may be an extra crew member allowed by FIA as this function does not occur with normal able bodied drivers. Zanardi has a special steering wheel for accelerator & braking. When they remove his and reconnect a normal s/wheel it automatically disconnects the hand controls allowing the pedals to re-engage.
This in 30 secs with BMW R&D technology!!!!
