my alarm on my s4 99my has suddenly started going off about 10mins after the cars locked. i will plug it in next week but in the meantime a couple of questions. first i cant remember if the indicators flash when the cars locked? and does the b5 suffer from the internal batteries going flat like the b6 does?

HI Colin, yes it's the internal battery dying. You can cut the unit up and replace the battery. I'll see if I can dig out the 'how to'.
The car can be coded to flash the indicators or not when the alarm is set. I think it's defaulted to flashing though.

Yep, Happened to me, the battery back up in the siren (if it has one) goes, it doesnt really like it if you disconnect it either, you have to manually lock the car with the key, blimey who does that these days?
