Usually that means the batteries inside the alarm siren are on the way out and need replacing

The alarm.is in the back passenger wheel arch. It will be below the CD changer. You will need to take of the boot trim and the side trim so you can get to the screws holding the CD changer in and the sub will also need taken out. It is then located below the back light cluster on a bracket bolted to the body work. You will then have to open up the alarm siren and replace the batterys not sure on what tool you need some kind of cutter to open it up.
Hope this helps and if you need anything else post it up and some one will help.

I don't think I have a CD changer , the wheel arch storage areas , contain the bose sound amplifiers and a lot of multi pin plugs and cables ...even changing the stop/indicator bulb is a only a job for Lilliputians ...
    Tnx -

It’s under all that right at the bottom I’ve had a new alarm siren for a year but seems to be a pain of a job so it’s still just sat there. But with holiday nearly out the way and stuff round the house nearly all sorted the s3 can take priority again
